On Moving Day
Before you actually bring your belongings with you on the day of your move, you should discuss the actual moving day details with the leasing agent or manager. Your manager may ask that you move your stuff in during a certain time to limit the hassle to other residents. For example, if someone is set to move out at a certain time, it would be best if your moves did not conflict with each other. Here are some questions that you might want to ask before your move.
- Can you move on the day and time you would prefer?
- Is there a particular place you will need to park on the property?
- Are there any dolly carts you can borrow or will you need to bring your own equipment with you?
- Who will actually give you the apartment keys? If no one is available to hand over the keys to you at the specific time, can you pick them up in advance?
