Questions to Ask Before you Lease an Apartment
When you decide to rent an apartment, you will want to know exactly what you can expect from the apartment community in question.  Thats why its so important to ask all the right questions before you sign the lease contract. There are a myriad of questions you can ash, but we have narrowed them down to a few featured questions that should lead you to make the appropriate rental decision for yourself.

Noise Levels

The apartment managers onsite should know what type of noise levels you can expect by the amount of noise level complaints filed at the property. If you need your much needed peace and quiet, be sure and address the issue.  Take the extra time and spend a few minutes in one of the apartment homes and listen for any noise.

Apartment Condition

Be sure and view the actual apartment you will be calling home. Take your time and check to see if there are any damages or the unit is not in move in condition. If you have a complaint, be sure and address this in writing to the community, or have the maintenance crew repair any damages.

Where to Park

If you are bringing a car with you, ask about the parking situation. Will you get your own designated parking space, or is it first come first serve?  You want to make sure you will get a space no matter how busy it gets. If its possible you might have to park off the street, then you might want to reconsider signing a lease. Also remember that if you have a normal guest who will be visiting you, they will need to park too. You will want to know if there is parking for them as well.

Washer and Dryer

Most people really enjoy their own personal washer and dryer, however if the community does not possess these, they may have washer and dryer connections in the units. Many apartments in Fort Worth will also have their own laundry facility onsite. So be sure and find out what is costs to do a load of clothes in the washer and dryer.  If your complex doesn’t have a laundry facility, ask where the nearest laundry mat is located.

Extra Monthly Fees

Besides your rent, are there any other monthly fees you will be responsible for? Some apartment communities will charge for pet rent on a monthly basis, while some will charge you for a portion of the utilities.
